01Accepting these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Ssup, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. If you're using Ssup on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.
02Who can use Ssup
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You may only use Ssup where it's lawful to do so. Ssup is for personal, non-commercial use — it isn't a place to promote a business, run a venue's marketing, or recruit, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
03Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- You're responsible for activity on your account — keep your login secure and don't share it.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.
- Complete verification honestly; using someone else's photos or identity is grounds for removal.
Tell us right away at what@ssup.social if you think your account has been compromised.
04Community rules
Ssup only works if people feel safe being out in the real world. When you use it, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone, on or off the app.
- Post content that's hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or unlawful.
- Solicit, scam, spam, or run commercial promotions.
- Share another person's private information or photos without consent.
- Use bots, scrapers, or attempt to find someone's exact location.
- Interfere with the app's security, or reverse-engineer how it works.
Breaking these rules can get your account suspended or removed, and serious cases may be reported to authorities.
05Meeting people in person
Ssup introduces you to people and moves happening nearby, but we don't vet, endorse, or supervise anyone you meet. Verification confirms a real human — it is not a background check. Meeting strangers carries real-world risk.
Stay safe out there
Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, trust your gut, and use the in-app SOS if something feels off. You're responsible for your own safety and your decisions when you head out.
06Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, messages, and other content you share. By posting it, you grant Ssup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the app — for example, showing your profile to a potential Crossing.
You're responsible for what you share and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we may keep limited records as needed for safety and legal reasons.
07Crossings & plans
A Crossing is an introduction, not a guarantee. Plans on Ssup are made between users — start times, meet points, and whether anyone actually shows up are outside our control. We're not a party to your plans and aren't responsible for how they turn out.
08Suspension & ending your account
You can delete your account anytime from the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms, create risk for others, or where required by law. Some provisions — like the disclaimers, liability limits, and content license needed to run the service — survive after your account ends.
09Disclaimers
Ssup is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the people and moves you see will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated here.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ssup and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything arising out of your interactions with other users or events you attend. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free app, may be zero). Some places don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ssup operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless local consumer law gives you the right to your local courts.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Ssup evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, give you notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Ssup afterward means you accept the new terms.
